RMS Engineering & Consulting specializes in providing professional electrical engineering services for clients in the power generation, transmission, & distribution industries. We are currently registered to do business in four states (Kansas, Missouri, Ohio, and Pennsylvania).

Robert Sailer is our firm’s Owner, President, and Principal Engineer. He is professionally licensed in all four states where we are registered.
Robert grew up on a small farm in western Iowa. The hard work ethic and attention to detail instilled in him during his youth have defined his personal life and career to this day. Robert obtained his Bachelor of Science in Electrical Engineering from Iowa State University in 2004.
Robert began his engineering career in northwest Iowa in 2006 at Interstates, performing electrical design for ethanol and biodiesel facilities. In 2008 Robert moved to the Kansas City area and started working for Burns & McDonnell Engineering Company, Inc. He spent almost 17 years there working in the transmission & distribution substation and power generation sectors.
In 2025, with the knowledge and expertise that he had gained over the previous two decades, Robert set out to form his own professional engineering services company. RMS Engineering & Consulting was officially formed in Kansas in March 2025.
